DataFlex 2019/19.1 is Released!
The latest DataFlex continues our mission to deliver high-productivity, framework-based development complimented with the openness and flexibility that lets developers design and implement applications their way. Version 19.1 includes exciting features and enhancements applicable to mobile, web and Windows business solutions.
The new capabilities of DataFlex 2019/19.1 touch every area of the product; from the installation experience to application design, from framework and SQL connectivity enhancements, and a new, low-level class for implementing custom HTTP services such as REST, to more streamlined and flexible application deployment and scalability!
- DataFlex web and mobile applications can now include history management and meaningful URLs, expandable lists, horizontal grid scrolling and an exciting new Material Design theme!
- Windows applications benefit from new DPI improvements, increased UI consistency, embedded manifest files and more control over form heights.
- New and existing application DataFlex projects will benefit from the language and code cleanup and expanded compiler warning system.

- Parameterized Queries in Embedded SQL - write SQL queries that contain parameters that can be set at runtime to protect against SQL Injection attacks, and boost your performance with prepared execution.
- HTTP Request Handler - implement custom HTTP and REST services.
- Language and Code Cleanup - as we moved further into the design and implementation of the 64-bit and UNICODE DataFlex, this revision was the time to clean up some legacy aspects of the DataFlex language and our code base.
